I’ve seen the art and I have to admit that it’s amazing, rich with colour and detail.I’d really like to get it, but it’s nowhere to be found where I live.I hope marvel publishes it here 😀

I was waiting for the opportunity to get this comics since years ago, no matter which language the edition. But I´m actually glad Marvel decided to distribute it, not only makes it easier and cheaper for me to purchase is also in a language I can understand.
I liked a lot the comic, I loved the detail that each panel had, it doesn’t feel like noise of filler but complements the reading nicely.
My local comic book shop saved a variant for me so I am even more happier 🙂

My favorite “mainstream” comic from this month was Fraction’s Invincible Iron Man. My favorite non superhero comic was a showdown between Locke and Key and Skydoll (with Skydoll pulling ahead for the win.)

I’ll state my most pressing concerns right off the bat: 1) Marvel’s decision to reprint all three issues with an individual price equal to that of Heavy Metal’s single issue reprinting all three; 2) Any potential concerns about censorship (a robotic nipple was removed from the cover for obvious reasons, but I wonder if there is more censorship to come?); 3) Printing it in ‘regular’ format as opposed to ‘prestige’ which would be closer to the books original format (and perhaps justify the cost.)
That being said Sky Doll will continue to stay on my buy list (and with any look Marvel will continue to print and translate the series as it continues overseas.) I have no idea how long the series will eventually last, but I’ll stay with it.

I’m sure we’ll be seeing a nice oversized hardcover of Sky Doll once the series concludes. I was weary about this book before I read it. Now I’m so glad I did.

This is what Marvel and all other US comic publishers need to do; have partnerships with european comic book publishers [especially french] and bring us some different comics that we cannot get here in english language. I mean, they reprint almost all our comics plus they print millions of theirs [boy do French read alot of comics] and they still do not have enough.

Sky doll is a pretty good book. Hopefully Marvel prints it in future at its original format [about 9 x 12 inches] with all 3 issues included and sketches, preliminaries etc,. That would also be a book that collectors in europe would want even though it would be in english.

I cant stand all the superhero Marvel books, but here I praise them and look for more of these type of different type of books.
