I can’t remember the last time I picked up a comic book this poor. It isn’t just that the storyline doesn’t follow the pattern Millar set in 1 and 2. I’m open to a change of direction. The problem here is that Ultimates 3 is just a really, really bad book, lacking in any coherent narrative, sensible characterisation or dialogue. Loeb has taken what was a fresh look at some well-established characters and made the whole thing farcical.
