Thanks for the comment!

While I didn't exactly have high hopes for Gotham City Sirens, I bought it for the artwork and, as far as the art's concerned, it didn't disappoint. It's a bit obnoxious at times, but I can't say that I didn't expect that.

It's cool to see that it is hitting a wider audience in some way, and would be interested to know what female comic fans thought of the series considering how people initially reacted to it. .

If Dini can develop some sort of hook that will keep GCS on my pull list, I wouldn't have a problem pickning it up as a new monthly.

Again, thanks for the comment and be sure to keep reading!

Oh, and one more thing - What's your girlfriend think about the Marvel Divas series that starts on Wedneday? I'll probably be picking it up since I like to do #1 issues whenever I can, but I have a feeling GCS will end up the stronger of the two...if anything because it's got more well known characters.

I am going to have to agree with your review completely.

My main reason for buying this issue was for my girlfriend because she has been looking for stuff to read that has a more female focus. But, I think what attracted her was the art, not the story.

With that said, I read the issue before she did and just whipped through it. So your "C" grade is spot on. She enjoyed it though, so I will stick with buying it for the next few issues until she tells me she doesn't want it anymore.
