Kyle’s Top Picks

Best of the Past Week: The Walking Dead #66 – Robert Kirkman did a fantastic job handling two very different types of death in The Walking Dead #66. The book is a great example of why The Walking Dead is such a great series. And SO much more than just a zombie comic.
Most Anticipated: Chew #5 – I was a bit late to the Chew party, but I’m damn glad that I decided to show up. Creative, funny, grim, and very stylish, Tony Chu’s story is a breath of fresh air. I can’t wait to see what happens next after the story managed to get even more bizarre in issue four.
Other Top Picks: Dark Avengers #10, Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth #4, Invincible Iron Man #19, and Thunderbolts #137
Rob G.’s Top Picks

Best of the Past Week: WALKING DEAD #66- This issue just felt like classic WK, meaning a Rick-centric story with poignant moments about the nature and limits of people.
Most Anticipated: X-MEN LEGACY #228 – X-Fans who aren’t reading Legacy are totally missing out on the best, most consistent X-Book on the stands. Uncanny is the dumb blockbuster your forced to go to, while Legacy is that indie classic that is 1000 times better than the blockbuster.
Other Top Picks: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #609, BATMAN STREETS OF GOTHAM #5, BATMAN THE UNSEEN #2, BLACKEST NIGHT SUPERMAN #3, BRAVE AND THE BOLD #28, DARK AVENGERS #10, DARK REIGN LIST HULK ONE SHOT, INCREDIBLE HULK #603, INVINCIBLE #67, INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #19, SPIDER-WOMAN #2, STAND SOUL SURVIVORS #1 (OF 5), WOLVERINE ORIGINS #41, X-MEN LEGACY #228
DS’s Top Picks

Best of the Past Week: Red Robin #5 – DC put out some really good comics last week, but Red Robin really is standing tall.
Most Anticipated:Blackest Night: Superman #3 – The conclusion of the three-part Kal-El vs Kal-L smackdown in Smallville.
Other Picks: Dark Avengers #10, Mighty Avengers #30, Thunderbolts #137, X-Men Legacy #228, Justice League of America #38, Power Girl #6
Alex’s Top Picks

Best of the Past Week: Fables #89 – Bill Willingham goes back to doing what he does best: pitting the little guy against the big guys. When that little guy is a flying monkey, it only gets better.
Most Anticipated: Invincible Iron Man #19 – Anyone reading Matt Fraction’s series has to be pumped for this conclusion to the 12-part World Most Wanted arc. It’s trashcan, I mean “Iron Man Mk 00″ vs the Iron Patriot. That can’t be good.
Other Picks: Spider-Woman #2, Dark Avengers #10, Justice League #38, Ex Machina #46, Invincible #67, Blackest Night: Superman #3
