Calling all fanboys and fangirls!
WCBR is going through some staff changes and we’re expanding at the same time! To do this, we’re looking to fill two reviewer positions. These are for-the-love jobs (sorry – no money – we do it because we love comics). For now, you have the opportunity to boost your writing resume, and get your name out in the industry.
We’ve even been cited on the covers from major writers such as: David Lapahm with Young Liars, Mark Millar with Kick-Ass, Matt Fraction with Invincible Iron Man… Gail Simone and a bunch of other writers and artists have been known to drop a comment or two… So we definitely need to keep up the quality as the big guns are obviously reading.Who are we looking for?
1. People who can write in an engaging, fun style
2. People who can get a whole review into about 400 words
3. People who can commit to 2-3 reviews a week
4. People who can work as part of a team and with an editor and who are willing to learn the craft
If you’re interested, drop us a line, telling us why you want to review for WCBR, what publisher you’d like to cover, what titles you’d like to review, and a list of titles you pick up. Also, please include a sample review from a book you think we should’ve covered.
