Who is Jake Ellis #2 – Review

By: Nathan Edmondson (writer), Tonci Zonjic (art) The Story: There isn’t a whole lot to say about this comic except that it is really good.  If you enjoy spy thrillers (and who doesn’t?) you should be reading this. Same Day Digital Comics

I’ve become a big fan of the Comixology app on my iPhone.  They launch their new products on Wednesdays just like a direct market store, so it’s become something of a Wednesday ritual for me to fire up the Comixology app and wait 3-4 minutes while it updates over the 3G connection.  It’s always fun [...]

Fantastic Four #588 – Review

by Jonathan Hickman (writer), Nick Dragotta & Mark Brooks (art), Paul Mounts (colors), and Rus Wooton (letters) The Review:  Given the upcoming involvement of Spider-Man in Jonathan Hickman’s upcoming FF, it isn’t a stretch to think that Hickman and Dan Slott have been corresponding with one another, and Fantastic Four #588 may provide evidence of [...]

Teen Titans #92 – Review

By: J.T. Krul (writer), Georges Jeanty (penciller), Rob Hunter (inker), Jason Wright (colorist) The Story: These exploding Calculator robots are really harshing these Turkish clubbers’ buzz. by Brian Michael Bendis (writer), John Romita Jr. (pencils), Klaus Janson (inks), and Dean White (colors) The Story: The Avengers check to make sure that Xavier and Namor’s infinity gems are safe. The Review: Avengers #10 is, unfortunately, something of a stumbling block for the series after a couple of solid outings. The main culprit [...]

By: Scott Snyder (writer), Danijel Zezelj (art), Dave McCaig (colors), Steve Wands (letters) & Mark Doyle (editor) The Story: A one-shot Skinner Sweet story, taking place in 1919 Idaho.
