Literally, it seems as though you relied
on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about,
why throw away your intelligence on just posting
videos to your blog when you could be giving us something
informative to read?

I would love to see Miéville on a Vertigo title of some kind. It’d be great to see what he comes up with on truly original material and there’s no better time for him to make his pitch than now, while the publisher’s going through a kind of renaissance.

Looking forward to the Dial E special next month. Though shouldn’t it really be Dial V for Villain, not E for Evil.

By the way, this was underdeveloped, but I liked the last minute tie-in of the Dial War to the copyright battles that have been raging. The MPAA and RIAA armies were a cute touch.

I would definitely like to see Mieville handle some more comics work now that he seems to be getting the hang of it, but I think it is going to have to be through Vertigo or Image – I don’t see DC handing him the keys to a prime property and his stuff is too odd to succeed in their normal line. With the right project and artist though – maybe a Sean Murphy?

Here’s hoping they give him something else to write, something with a weird vibe like Doom Patrol for instance.

Or more likely, he figured out there were other words he could dial with the four letters, and hero was the simplest.

This has always been a backup story to me, wherein 8 pages would tell a story that I may or may not necessarily like. Does anyone remember the 80’s at this point?

Totally agree with your final point.
