Ray’s Top Picks
Best Of The Past Week: Wonder Woman #32 – Gail Simone seriously took this character/ book to a whole new level.
Most Anticipated For This Week: Batman and Robin #1 – A Dynamic Duo for the Dynamic Duo… I’m really looking forward to Morrison kicking ass again. And thank you lord for a new Frank Quitely work. It’s time to pull out We3 and some old Authority as I wait for B & R #1.
Other Top Picks: Superman: World of New Krypton #4, Irredeemable #3, Conan The CImmerian #11, Amazing Spider-Man #596
Kyle’s Top Picks
Best Of The Past Week: Wolverine #72 – The penultimate chapter of “Old Man Logan” is one hell of a fun comic book. It features great character work, memorable (and brutal) artwork, and one of the most simple, yet effective two page spreads of all time.
Most Anticipated For This Week: Exiles #3 – I’m really enjoying the latest Exiles series. It looks great and is a whole hell of a lot of fun.
Other Top Picks For This Week: Deadpool: Suicide Kings #3, Agents of Atlas #6, Captain Britain & MI:13 Annual, Amazing Spider-Man #596, Dark Avengers #5
Rob’s Top Picks
Best Of The Past Week: Wolverine #72 – By far, the most entertaining read of the week. So many things to like, but honestly, who didn’t get giddy when Wolverine finally drew his claws?
Most Anticipated For This Week: War of the Kings #4 – Amazing story here with great characters from across Cosmic Marvel coalescing for the final Battle between the Kree and the Shi’ar.
Other Top Picks For This Week: Amazing Spider-Man #596; Battle Star Galictica Final Five #3; Batman and Robin #1; Dark Avengers #5; Irredeemable #3; Ultimate Spider-Man #133; Ultimatum #4
Alex’s Top Picks
Best Of The Past Week: Northlanders #17 – Despite some heavy competition, Northlanders is the clear winner. An absolutely spectacular issue that’s near perfect in every way and a great representation both of Brian Wood’s comic as a whole and what can be accomplished within a 22 page done-in-one. Accessible, new reader friendly, Viking goodness.
Most Anticipated For This Week: Batman & Robin #1 – Really no contest here either. I’ve been away from Batman for a little while, and for me, this is a perfect jumping on point. The fact that the All-Star Superman team is on it only makes it all the better. I’m already digging the “twisted Saturday morning cartoon” feel of it. Sign me up!
Other Top Picks for this Week: Dark Avengers #5, Amazing Spider-Man 596, Agents of Atlas #6
DS’s Top Picks
Best of the Past Week: Wonder Woman #32 – Gail Simone just blew me away with the end of the Genocide arc.
Most Anticipated For This Week: Superman: World of New Krypton #4 – the conflicts (psychological and physical) in this series are so natural and so powerful that I can’t wait to see what happens next to the Man of Steel.
Other Top Picks: Batman and Robin #1, Agents of Atlas #6, Strange Adventures #4.
